Vallejo Charter School, a VCUSD-dependent charter specializing in Expeditionary Learning, caters to students from TK through 8th grade. Here, students form a close-knit community known as "crew." Vallejo Charter School nurtures natural curiosity and critical thinking among students and staff alike by embracing diversity and fostering excellence in education and the arts. VALLEJO, Calif. — At its meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 17, the Vallejo City Unified School District (VCUSD) Board of Education approved a series of school closure decisions for the end of the 2025–26 school year. The Board voted to close Highland, Lincoln, and Pennycook Elementary Schools.
